Most of you will know that I enjoy both reading and photography immensely. I closely follow a number of “photoblogs” — both for pure enjoyment and for inspiration. One of these, though, stands out. Stray Matter is an astounding piece of art — not just for its photography but also for its incredible combination of beautiful picture and inspiring text. The words give the picture meaning, and vice versa. Oh, I wish I could do it.
Today, I have realized that I have followed Scotty’s work for over two and a half years. It has started with a lonely baseball centerfielder and has brought me all the way to musings about nostalgia, accompanied by a stunning portrait, beautiful landscapes in the middle of nowhere and to the most stunning picture of a kiss ever.
